Because admission at Rice University is an individualized and holistic admission process which examines the entirety of an applicant's academic prowess, creativity, motivation, artistic talent, leadership potential and life experiences, students are not admitted directly into a specific school or major. Rather, incoming students indicate an intended major, but do not necessarily declare a major before the spring of their sophomore year.
All applications will be processed through the Rice admissions office. Click here for more information on freshman and transfer admissions.
