Postdoctoral Research Associate
PhD: Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Lehigh University, 2017
Thesis: "Behavior of Thin Collidal Films and Fundamental Studies of Convective Deposition."
Kedar received his bachelor degree from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India in 2012. He then moved to the US and earned his doctorate degree in 2017 from Lehigh University, under the supervision of Prof. James Gilchrist. His research was mainly focused on the colloidal assembly using convective deposition. He now has joined as a postdoctoral researcher in Rice University with Prof. Biswal. Prof. Biswal has been working on the synthesis of colloidal polymers and strategies for molding them in specific configurations. Kedar is working to gain more understanding in this relatively new field of dynamic colloidal assembly. His preliminary work will include an understanding of synthesis and behavior of this colloidal polymer in a confined environment.
